It would be nice to get a passport and meet you in NY. I do not really understand the mechanics of getting one. What exactly is a guarantor? What is he guaranteeing do you think? I would like to get away from this place. I need to move on. Maybe I should move to Calgary. I have very little holding me here anymore.

A guarantor is someone who can verify the have known you for 2+ years. Someone who can prove your existence.
